As a city ruled by the richest, most powerful Samura government named Kaga Domain during the 17th -19th centuries, Kanazawa has inherited many samurai cultures, including tea ceremony, which was the popular pastime for the samurais in the Kaga Domain that demonstrated their authority and greatness through blossoming the cultures instead of the military might.

What to expect from the experience
In a tearoom located inside a traditional Japanese townhouse, you will watch a process of making a bowl of matcha through a series of a tea ceremony performance called "temae" led by Yuta Takahashi, who is a tea master passionate about sharing the joy of tea ceremony with the world.

In this experience, you will enjoy 3 varieties of matcha, including one of the finest. If you think matcha is a bitter drink, come and join our experience and you will be surprised to find the real taste of matcha.
